The Committee
Chairman
Chris Thomas
Chris is one of the original members, singing with the choir since the first rehearsal. He joined the choir because his vicar jokingly threatened to not marry Chris and his future wife unless they both joined the choir. He now enjoys singing in the bass section with his purple family and has also taken on the role of Chairman.
Finance Manager
Jacqui Peachey
Jacqui joined the choir four years ago, finding her way back to a love of singing after retiring. She now manages the choir’s finances and sings in the tenor section whilst enjoying the people and the sound of the choir.

She joined the choir because of her love for drama and performance and was looking for something to do for herself after become a mum. Every Tuesday she enjoys the fun and laughter in rehearsals as well as the friendships and sense of community made by the purple family.
Events Manager
David Lee

Secretary
Alison Scarth
Alison had always wanted to sing in a choir, but without the ability to read sheet music, she thought this could never be possible. After hearing that many members of the South Oxhey Choir were also in the same boat, she joined and has been a member of the choir for fourteen years. She now works as the choir’s secretary whilst enjoying learning about music and singing with the alto section with her purple family.
Co-Fundraiser Manager
James Ayers
James is another of the original members, joining the choir when it was first formed. He is now a member of the committee, co-managing the fundraising for the choir, whilst singing in the bass section. One of his favourite things about the choir is that it gives you the opportunity to meet people with the same goal, to sing and make people happy!
Co-Fundraiser Manager
Jose Tamayo
Jose joined the choir six years ago as a way to learn English and get a better understanding of the local culture, socialising with like-minded people at South Oxhey Choir. He now works on the committee to co-manage the fundraising and sings with the bass section. His favourite song from the choir’s repertoire is Going up a Yonder, which he calls ‘the conversation I didn’t have with my mother’.

Sarah Munn
Sarah has been a member of the choir for about eight years after following her love of singing. She sings with the choir’s soprano section, whilst working on the choir's membership, and particularly loves Somewhere Only We Know from the choir’s repertoire.
